The target group of our Wandmal-Kurses (wallpainting courses) in the ‘House of the future’ were energetic women from the countryside who have organised themselves into a union of independent artisans in El Alto. Under professional guidance they could learn not only how to build walls but also how to artistically shape them. The practical exercise for the women was creating a colourful mural that now adorns the lobby of our house for young women in El Alto.
